Car of the Day for April 4th, 2009: Johnny Lightning Xtraction Chevy Corvette

Johnny Lightning Xtraction Chevy Corvette.
A much copied car and rightly so because it is an iconic model.
Some of the JL Corvettes have hooded drivers with a silver face shield but this pink Corvette and a few others I have are straight black hoods and black masks.
Production error or deliberate?
Your thoughts on this Ray?

Submitted by Admin on Sat, 04/04/2009 - 10:19.I really have no idea, I am making this up: I don't think it is a production errror, nor do I think it was deliberate. No idea what order it happened in, but chances are they did a run without the masking and someone got the bright idea the driver would look better with some paint and so they added it. Could be the other way around, and adding that was too hard for too little payoff and they stopped doing it. Could even be they should all have it and once the cars were completed someone noticed all too late. Really hard to say, my guess is only Tom Lowe knows for sure - and even then, he may not know why. Good question though!!
