AURORA TOMY track Aurora A/FX track with Hooked endsOld Aurora T-jet trackThe ack BOTTOM Picture is the oldest Aurora track, Lock and Joiner type . You have to put two metal joiners in each end of the track sections and then lock them together, with a plastic (as shown) or lead SQUARE U shaped lock.
The 2nd track is the 2nd breed of Aurora track called AFX track, notice there are plastic molded hooks on the ends of the track sections. You had to slide these sideways to lock together and unlock the same way, all the time hoping the hook end didn't snap off, so they made a track tool to try to avoid that. If they did break , they made metal track repair clips that clipped underneath so they would stay together with a good electrical connection. This was frustrating, at the least.
The TOP picture ,and final try for Aurora, Is the NEWEST TOMY track, as seen in the TOP  picture. These just push together, and, as easily, pull apart. They hardly ever break , and assembly and disassembly only takes a few minutes.Because there's no locks and joiners to have to buy, or breaking the hooks on the ends like AFX, most will agree, this is the cheapest, and fastest way to build a track.
NEXT TYCO TRACKS.!!!!
